Monostichs: Magical and Mournful

Magical Monostich (at seaside) :

The range of marshes lay clear before us,
with the sails of the ships on the river   growing out of it.

Mournful Monostich (walking a London streetscape) :

while To Let  To Let  To Let,  glared at me from empty rooms.
