Jesus preached to the people;
then Francis, a man, catechized the birds of the air
(as Saint Maël, we read, preached to the penguins).
Shall a penguin, then,
take pulpit to the ocean-folk,
filling them with such dim visions as might fit,
proportional to their subaqueous understanding?
