Anti-Stochastic Epigram


The parable of the typewriting monkeys  impresses everyone  at some point in their sophomore career (it is the intellectual equivalent of pimples)  with its specious profundity.
True, if a million monkeys  were to type a billion characters per second for a trillion years, they might well eventually produce the full text of “Hamlet”.   But they couldn’t mean “Hamlet”.
