Chips from the poet’s workbench

I hope  in time  to indite the world’s most perfect limerick on the subject of polar bears.  Already I have a pretty fruity rhythm-scheme in mind, which is always the main thing:

da DUM da da DUM da da DUM dum
da da DUM da da DUM da da DUM dum
     da DUM da da DUM
     da da DUM di-di DUM
ba da DUM da da DUM di-di DUM dum !

Catchy, what?  The rhymes will require some concentrated work.  (Polar/solar?  N-no-o …)

Anyhow, in the meantime, all I have to offer is this:

Polar-bear poem  (in progress)

Po-lar bear PO-lar bear,   po-lar bear PO-lar bear!
lumpily lumbers along.
