No no, move on folks, nothing to see. This isn’t really a title for the post, more like a para- or meta-title, reflecting the fact that people keep finding this site by searching on strings like “physics porn” or “chemistry porn” or “philosophy porn”. Those are concepts we do work with on this blog: the reference is to bastardizing popularizations of those venerable subjects. But ontology itself gets little press, popular or otherwise; moreover, we ourselves are Realists, and thus in our own person are open to sniping from Nominalists, that our overrichly stuffed-and-staffed Platonic heaven is an instance of “ontology porn”. (We actually do sympathize with at least the aesthetics of such objections, which we have been gingerly exploring under the rubric of Minimalism.)
So anyhow, now that you’re here -- porn we have none, but plenty of ontology, hot off the griddle, here:
