Korean is considered one of the
hardest languages in the world to master, but an elephant in a South Korean zoo
is making a good start.
Koshik, a 22-year-old Asian
elephant has stunned experts and his keepers at Everland Zoo near Seoul by
imitating human speech. Koshik can say the Korean words for "hello,"
"sit down," "no," "lie down" and "good."
Don’t believe it?
The proof is here!
Puis trois animateurs américains, sensiblement plus bêtes
que la bête:
Now, whether the grunts in question are indeed Korean words,
we must leave to the Koreans.
But we ourselves can attest, that these same grunts represent the
following words in English!
=> “no” “play” “food” “hello” “happy”
while in French they stand for
=> “non” “joujou”
“gnamgham” “salut” “bébé”
and in German
=> “nyet” “Fahrvergnügen” “Schadenfreude” “Weltschmerz”
“Zerrissenheit”
(admittedly, Koshik’s German could use some work)
and so on for every language on the planet!
Here he is speaking perfect German (albeit with a
Plattdeutsch accent):
